Table Linen Organizing

Springtime brings more tea parties and more table linen hauls from our local home decorating stores. A tablecloth or tea napkin, that is just too pretty to pass up on a store shelf, ends up in our shopping cart and ultimately crammed in a drawer somewhere getting all wrinkled.

So, with that said, Spring is the time for getting our unruly stash of table linens organized. Instead of keeping them stuffed in a drawer, we've decided to give them a more airy space of their own.

To start, it helps to have a walk-in closet available to work with or good, clean, spacious shelving units.

We find that a white shelving unit allows for a brighter display of the varying patterns and colours of the table linens.
Amazon offers great options for white shelving, so it's always worth a look on that website.

We fold the linens as neatly as possible and then put our colour coordinating skills to work. Pinks and peaches, blues and greens, Spring tones, earthy tones....you get it.

Small, round tablecloths stay together on a shelf. Long, rectangular tablecloths stay organized on another shelf. Tea napkins on yet another shelf...and so on.

We like to add a few green, leafy plants (artificial) for an esthetically pleasing look.  A few baskets for storing napkin rings, place card holders, etc. is also a good idea and something that we will be adding.

The final product is a neat and tidy, super-organized space for all of those table linens.

This makes finding the perfect linens for tea time and tea parties so much easier and quicker!
